This is my third pump in four years and now it has exceeded the total cost of my tank rig. Buy electric if you can, this company makes junk.

Did not work right out of the Box.

After replacing one Hypro pump & two couplers (for AG use-mounts to a tractor PTO) since May, 2021, I'm on the prowl for a competitor. The design is flawed. The shaft on the pump goes into the coupler that attaches to the PTO. A lock screw connects the coupler to a flat shelf on the shaft, which is supposed stabilize the shaft & turn the pump. Even after using Loctite & putting a gorilla grip on the set screw, the shaft busted loose & spins free. With no grip, the pump doesn't turn. The pump & the coupler need to be one unit to preclude them breaking free of one another. Junk.

I mean, really? It's attached to a 40hp tractor with a dual speed PTO operating at 1000+ rpm, and it can barely manage 5gpm, although the specs claim 21 gpm at 1200 rpm. This is with the tractor parked right beside the pond (water source) with a lift head of about three feet. The specs also claim 300 psi, but I can plug the hose with my thumb. No kinks, no restrictions, free-flow hoses on each side of the pump. It's a pathetic little piece of home-owner, DIY crap. Yeah, it will pump a little bit of water. If that's all you need, fine. But it shouldn't be rated four times more powerful than it is. That's deceptive advertising, and it's not just unethical, it's illegal. This thing's going back.

I CLEANED RINSED AND ALWAYS KEEP IT INSIDE IN CLIMATE CONTROLLED BUILDING AND HAVE WENT THROUGH 2 OF THESE EVEN LUBED ONE UP WITH OIL AND THEY DON'T LAST VERY LONG BETTER TO BUY A ELECTRIC PUMP

The pump has worked well so far.

Replaced our PTO pump. Filled 100 gallon stock tank in 6 minutes.
