I just bought the big bag!
I was always a big coffee drinker.I wanted to try other items. I had originally purchased the intro set directly from the company; two 10 oz bags and a French press. I tried it immediately upon receiving it.The first couple of times I tried it, I thought it was just too watery and too boring and really nothing. It was missing fat and sugar for sure I thought. I went ahead and put everything up in the cupboard and ignored it for a few months.About a month ago, my doctor mentioned something about my blood pressure elevating, and I decided to go off coffee entirely. It really wasn't doing anything for me except making me feel nervous. So, I pulled the packages out, but I couldn't find the French press, so I decided to try making it with what I had on hand. (using a fine mesh sieve and a bowl)😳 I shook some of the ground into the sieve, poured hot water over it, and let it kind of sit in its own liquid. I forgot about it for about 20 minutes, but then I came back in and there it was. So, I decided that I would go ahead and give it a try anyway. It's now no longer piping hot, but I'm sure it's pleasant.Well, was I surprised! I can only guess that it needs to sit in the liquid for a period of time! I took a sip, and the flavor was not only so much better, within about a half an hour I was in so much better a mood! I contacted friends and family and I was letting them know about this fabulous thing!Since then I have finished off what I had left. I have ordered the pound and a half bag, and I will be getting a lot more! That was delightful!

Great taste, Good buzz (but maybe too good for some)
I decided to try this as I am a decaf drinker and thought this would be a good alternative to my morning cup of coffee. I loved the flavor. It is not overpowering but is rich and satisfying. My husband likes it added to his coffee.I found, however, that the stimulation from the cacao was too much for me. At first I brewed it straight and I was shaking after one cup. I decided to mix a scoop or two in with my coffee when brewing and that left me with a headache and groggy in the afternoon. I gave some to my girlfriend to try and she did not find it too strong but thought the grind was too fine for her French press. (I used a regular drip coffee pot). None of us experienced any stomachs upset.I really wanted to be able to enjoy this as it tastes and smells wonderful but, alas, the buzz it provides was too much for me. I would recommend if you are not sensitive to caffeine or other stimulants. I also would suggest different grinds for different coffee makers.

This is the second bag of Crio Bru Ecuador French Roast I have purchased
The first bag of Ecuador French Roast I purchased was wonderful. It had a rich dark chocolate flavor. I ordered a second bag because I liked it so much. I even recommended it to my daughters.I received the new bag a couple of days ago and just opened it this afternoon. I took a deep whiff to savor the dark chocolate. Yuk! It smells a bit like vinegar. No chocolate fragrance at all. I brewed some up the way I always do, thinking maybe the flavor would be better than the smell. Not at all. Not even a chocolate after taste. It almost has a hint of being burnt. I'm disappointed because this is my afternoon treat that keeps me from eating candy. Now I will hesitate to buy it again.I'm thinking I should send it back.

Great with coffee
This is really delicious in coffee. I tried brewing it for hot chocolate--just chocolate, no coffee--and it wasn't as nice to my taste. Much prefer it with coffee. We're ordering a bigger bag as my husband likes it too.

Looking for a great drink? Then read this and heed to this one advice
So, here I am... I don't drink coffee... but sometimes I want a nice drink that I can drink in the morning and I got tired of black tea, or flavored tea. I remember that my mother used to drink Postum and drinks like that... but now since we are gluten free, it would defeat the purpose. So... my search kept going. Some drinks are pretty pricey, and I am not quite looking for a knock off coffee... because I know that there isn't such thing.... (unless I am lying to myself).I found this and got this little bag on Amazon.... I read reviews after reviews. I almost didn't purchase it... because many reviews say that this tasted like watered down chocolate. (You know when you have a packet of chocolate mix and you add WAY TOO MUCH WATER and it tastes nasty? ) Well I wanted to avoid that type of taste at all cost. I don't know who posted in their reviews that they had this same problem until they did one thing. They mixed theirs in their vitamix instead of brewing it. That made me think.... 'hmmmm, I don't have a Vitamix... but if the premise is to mix it instead of brewing it.... I can do it in my Nutribullet'.So... I waited until my order came in... and never brewed. Put the water, 2 tablesppons, and sugar in the Nutribullet... ran it twice... and now I am IN LOVE. How does it taste? Like a Super Rich really charged chocolate drink. It is not coffee... but it is quite delicious. Did I mention rich? I've experimented by adding powdered mushrooms, and matcha and turmeric. (Not a fan with turmeric... *yuck* but a fan with everything else.) I was going to venture out and try the Ghana, Peru, and Venezuelan one... but why mess with perfection? What are the main take-aways?1. DO NOT BREW IT... or you will end up with watered down chocolate2. Mix it in your Nutribullet, or other really fast mixer and drink away. This is what I do... I put about 3 - 4 ounces of water and 2 tablespoons of the Crio-bru and 2 teaspoons of sugar and mix it twice. Then I add some hot water to the size of my big mug... and I drink away almost in the mist of some ecstasy driven reminder.... and enjoy another sip.Now I moved on to the bigger bag... and I guard it pretty well and don't care if no one wants it... (More for me).
