Been helpful for preventing/healing pressure sores from sitting all day. If your loved one sits in a wheelchair most of day, this works great. It is thick cushion, so probably not good fit for using on a recliner, which can make person sit up too high. However, on a wheelchair it is perfect. Pump can fit in sleeve/pocket in back of wheelchair, or if no pocket/sleeve, you may be able to put pump on side of person sitting in wheelchair (that is what we do). If your loved one sleeps in a bed, then better to get an alternating air pressure mattress pad. However, if they sit in a wheelchair or regular sturdy chair (put pump on floor next to chair), this product should accomodate. It is comfortable & has various settings on softness/hardness and frequency of alternating air pressure.

Please understand I initially made the below review after a few days of use. Well, less than 6 months later it has failed. After combing over the sellers page there is no warranty information shown. I've made every attempt to contact the seller to see if any warranty is offered to no avail. I DO NOT recommend this company or it's products as you are unable contact the seller at all and from my research NO WARRANTY is offered. Caveat emptor, always.My mother is 84 and has difficulty walking so she sits at her desk/computer for several hours a day. She recently had a fall and was being treated at home by home health care. The nurse recommended this type of cushion to aid with circulation and comfort. I was a bit skeptical at first but after a few days she just loves it. I purchased this one due to the fact if can run on built in battery pact as well as plugged into outlet. It is a little noisy, it sounds like an automatic blood pressure cuff. It doesn't bother her in the slightest and we've gotten used to the noise. We haven't made any long car trips so we haven't used the portability (battery option) yet. The battery will last all day at home so I'm confidant long trios would be fine. This cushion is so competitively priced you can't go wrong.

The first one just stopped working about a month in. Customer Service was great in getting us a replacement. My Mom gets sores on rear from sitting all the time. This switches everything up for her and keeps her rear from getting sores. Great product!

It seems to be working well so far. My mother has a bedsore and she cannot get up and sit for very long, but with this seat cushion, she is able to stay seated and states that she is not in any pain and her bedsore has not gotten worse but it has improved.

At present we are extremely satisfied with this product. The information and directions that came with the chair air cushion made it easy to charge and then operate. My wife uses it in her wheelchair during the day and I recharge it during the night. We like the options to set the time for alternating cycles and firmness and currently are using the mid range settings.

Not good for my situation but very good product

We have only used this alternating pressure seat cushion a few times but I have noticed a big difference in my husbands comfort level. I have purchased several cushions with great reviews and none of them were comfortable enough for him. The longest trip was 4 hours so the battery is lasting pretty good. I don't know if we will ever reach the 12 hour test but this is good for us.
