Worked perfectly over an existing IP network.
Awesome little units. It should be noted that to take advantage of the POE feature the POE supply Needs to be at least POE+(IEEE 802.3at) in order to work. The converters appear to comply with standard IP Multicast protocols allowing network switches equipped with IGMP snooping to successfully route the multicast packets and avoid flooding ports that don't have a receiver attached to them.I ran these in a one-in-two-out scenario on a network carrying other network traffic configured with multiple VLANs. My maximum run was 40m of cheap CAT6 cable, although that was between two switches so says more about my network than the converters themselves.

Very flexible
I had an earlier PWay IP HDMI extender that worked OK until I changed my switches to 2.5Gb, although it still worked when connected to a 1Gb switch that was connected to a 2.5Gb switch. But that wasn't what I wanted.I took a chance that this POE-enabled extender would also be able to communicate with the 2.5Gb switch, and I was proved to be right! It worked first time, didn't even stop and think about it.I'm using the extender to connect the HDMI output from my CCTV NVR in the attic to a monitor in the hall. I use a PoE connection in the attic and one of the supplied PSUs in the hall.I'm very pleased with the outcome.

Good to use PoE
I was looking for a PoE solution and this looked good. Unfortunately, the design fails to provide a remote IR connection (and an additional USB hub function would be even better) so this was not useful to me.

Wonderful Gadget
What a marvelous piece of kit this is.I have been using this to transmit my cctv signal to a tv, previously I had been using a vga cable to just a monitor, but decided I wanted to be able to view the images on my bedroom TV.As I already had Ethernet in place it wasn't a difficult thing to achieve, and I have to say the images produced were very nice. Now I can leave the monitor in place and use that for configurations, then use the TV for any playback that I may need to view and see it much clearer. It really was a plug and play, with no issues, I was wondering if I got other receiver units I could display the image on other TV's, then I would be able to view the source image wherever I was in the house, I do not see why not and is something I shall be looking into. The devices themselves are very well made in a metal house and therefore feel very robust and solid..Overall this is a really nice product, maybe if I didn't have the cabling and switches already in place I may have gone with HDMI cabling and signal splitter's as I could achieve 4K with that method, but that does have it's limitations I believe, as long as it was within certain parameters and distance, for now 1080p is more than adequate and as I said the image produce is nice and clear with no input lag whatsoever. All in all, a very nice product.Highly recommended.

Works well as intended
This HDMI extender over IP is nicely made with a quality steel case and good quality HDMI connectors. It comes complete with two 12v power supplies with1.2 metre leads. In use the cases get slightly warm, but they are well ventilated and overheating is not a concern. This is a one direction HDMI solution so it will not work with an audio return channel.Tested passing an Amazon Fire tv stick signal over a 15 metre cat 6 cable to a 4K lg tv the extender synced to the tv instantly and displayed a pristine hdr picture without any artifacts or issue. Audio was transmitted without any sync issues at the same time. This extender clearly states that it will pass tv pictures up to and including 1080p definition and does so without issue. Feeding a 4K picture from Amazon Prime resulted in the stream dropping to 1080p within a second or so as though it was determined that the tv was only capable of decoding 1080p.Without further receiver units I could not confirm how effective the multiple display option was, however passing the network signal through an unmanaged switch did not affect the performance. There may have been some confusion as to how this signal can be passed through a switch. I believe it was never intended to be injected into a local network carrying other network traffic, but is to be used with a stand alone switch to pass to multiple receivers. There is nothing in the documentation or listing to suggest otherwise. As a stand alone HDMI extender (up to 150 metres over cat 6 cabling) this works well with the additional possibility of passing to multiple tv’s with additional receivers.I could imagine it being used passing a satellite or blue ray picture around the house to multiple tv’s, or in a work environment passing display information.

Plug and play, easy to use, flexible
I’ve seen and used a few devices to send an hdmi signal over ethernet cables before, however this product seemed to offer the ability to send via an ethernet switch. This makes it much more flexible if you have multiple ethernet ports around the house/office connected via a switch. The devices themselves are very well made, with a metal case. As a simple test I connected the sender to my laptop, and receiver to my TV, connected by a short ethernet cable. Before connection, the TV should a useful status message. Once the ethernet cable was connected, the picture appeared and worked perfectly. The instructions show the device can be connected via an ethernet switch, but it’s unclear whether this is a dedicated switch, or your normal switch carrying all network traffic. I decided to try connecting to the normal switch and it worked perfectly again. The pictures show the laptop, connected via ethernet to the switch and back to the TV, I’d guess a run of about 300 feet. This is an excellent extender, giving lots of flexibility to easily connect around the house. I was unable to test multiple receivers, but would be interested in purchasing them to give a whole house distributed tv system.
